01 / BIO-WETTING ACTION WITH AWA®

Moisture within reach of the roots.

AWA® is a liquid, soluble, organic bio-wetting agent. It improves infiltration, water distribution, and the availability of moisture and nutrients in the root zone.

Is AWA® a soil moisture retainer?

Yes. AWA® performs the function of an agricultural soil moisture retainer: it improves water retention and availability in the root zone. We describe it as a bio-wetting agent because of its action on surface tension, infiltration and the distribution of irrigation water.

More even infiltration

It reduces the surface tension of irrigation water, promoting infiltration and more even distribution within the wetted bulb. This avoids preferential flow paths and dry zones.

Moisture available to roots

It improves moisture retention and availability in the root zone, increasing readily available water for the crop.

Less nutrient leaching

It keeps water and fertilisers in the rhizosphere for longer, limits nutrient leaching and enhances uptake by roots.

Plant-based and biodegradable

Its ingredients are plant-based and biodegradable: they leave no residual build-up in the soil and supply plant-derived carbon.

For all crops, including turf. AWA® improves water distribution and maintains moisture in a wider, more uniform wetted zone.

03 / AWA® IN YOUR IRRIGATION

A programme adapted
to soil and irrigation.

  1. Integrated into your irrigation

AWA® is applied through your irrigation system. Its liquid, soluble formulation makes it easy to integrate into your farm’s routine management.

  2. Define the programme

The standard dose of AWA® is 4 L/ha per month. It can be adjusted with technical advice to suit the needs of your crop, soil and irrigation programme. Follow the label instructions.

  3. Compatible with your fertilisation programme

AWA® is compatible with all commonly used fertilisers, including calcium formulations.

By improving the bioavailability of water and nutrients in the root zone, it supports fertiliser efficiency and crop uptake.

04 / RESULTS WITH AWA®

Less irrigation.
Results in the field.

The first trials evaluated the final formulation of AWA®. Subsequent demonstrations on commercial farms document its performance under real growing conditions. A track record of results that supports its professional use.

Tomato

In the tomato trial, AWA® with 60% of the irrigation programme exceeded the yield of the fully irrigated control.

Pioneer 1690 maize

In the Pioneer 1690 maize trial, AWA® with 75% irrigation achieved 98.4% of the yield of the control with 100% irrigation.

Each trial has its own soil, crop and management conditions. Read the report for the full comparison.
